IN NEW ORLEANS + VIRTUAL ACROSS LOUISIANA.
Therapy for Reproductive Trauma & Loss.
Some experiences don’t end when they’re over.
They stay with you in the way you see your body + how you move through the world. They can show up in your parenting, relationships, sex life, and the deepest parts of your identity. Maybe you've been told to "move on," but your body hasn't.
If a reproductive experience has left you feeling disconnected from body or carrying a heavy weight, you're not alone. You deserve the safety to process it all- without any reminders that “at least you survived” or “you can always try again.”
Reproductive Trauma:
Any reproductive experience that overwhelms your capacity to cope and leaves a lasting imprint on your relationship with yourself, your body, others, and the world around you.
Healing after:
MISCARRIAGE
TRAUMATIC BIRTH
sexual assault
ABORTION
partner violence
INFERTILITY
stillbirth
ECTOPIC PREGNANCY
recurrent loss
OBSTETRIC VIOLENCE
A reproductive therapist can help you:
Untangle the grief, anger, guilt, shame, fear, and complicated emotions you’re carrying
Honor your story in a way that feels meaningful to you- whether through rituals, writing, spiritual or cultural practices, or simply having someone to hear your truth
Rebuild trust and safety in your body- and reconnect with the person you were before everything happened
Rewrite the story of your body and integrate your experiences into your greater reproductive story
Move forward in a way that feels authentic, without minimizing what happened
Navigate pregnancy after loss or trauma, making space to hold joy and grief together
You might be wondering…
-
Difficult reproductive experiences are often left out of the greater conversation about trauma. But here’s the thing: trauma isn't about what happened, it's about how an experience impacted you. If something from your past continues to stay with you, showing up in different areas of your life, therapy can help you process it- regardless of how you (or others) might label it.
-
Healing truly has no timeline. Whether what happened was recent or many years ago, therapy can be a space to give your story the attention it deserves. Something doesn’t have to be recent to still matter.
-
Of course not! Consent matters above all else, and you never have to share more than you're ready. Healing can still happen without rehashing the nitty-gritty details of a traumatic experience- although therapy can certainly be a space for that, if it’s what you need.
