Hi there, I’m Bethany.
I’m a perinatal therapist and full spectrum doula supporting people through a wide range of reproductive transitions in New Orleans and across Louisiana.
My passion lies in working with people who have historically been left out of perinatal spaces: LGBTQIA+ families, BIPOC parents, people with disabilities, neurodivergent folks, and bodies of all shapes and sizes. My clients are the ones who don’t fit in to their local “mom” groups. The ones walking into rooms where no one looks or thinks like them. The ones asking why childcare still isn’t universal, why people are still debating breast versus bottle, and why Black women are still more likely to die from preventable causes during birth (even in 2026).
I created Full Spectrum Nola because I didn’t see enough spaces like this- ones that honor all identities and reproductive experiences. All paths to parenthood, all pregnancy outcomes, all choices, and all bodies are welcome here.
My approach:
-
I recognize that people carry experiences that shape how they move through the world- including with birth, healthcare, relationships, identity, and systems of oppression. In all areas of my work, I prioritize trust and collaboration to help folks feel safe.
-
I welcome clients of all identities, bodies, family structures, and reproductive paths. Pregnant dad? IVF warrior? Donor-conceived pregnancy? Child-free by choice? You belong here.
-
Epidural or unmedicated, human milk or formula, home or hospital, zero kids or eight… your reproductive decisions and parenting choices belong to you. My role is not to tell you what you should do, but to support you with evidence-based information so you can make decisions that feel most aligned with your values.
How I can help:
Trauma-informed, professional mental health support for perinatal concerns.
Physical, emotional, educational, and advocacy support during your birth.
Location
Serving clients in New Orleans and virtually throughout Louisiana.
I offer in-person therapy and doula support in New Orleans. My office is in the Lower Garden District, near Coliseum Square Park.
Virtual therapy sessions are available across Louisiana. Clients must be physically located in Louisiana during their session (due to licensing laws).

Why Full Spectrum?
The term “full spectrum doula” started to be recognized in the mid-2000’s when grassroots organizations like The Doula Project began offering support for all pregnancy outcomes, including miscarriage and abortion.
Today, full spectrum care refers to the full range of reproductive experiences: fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, miscarriage, abortion, adoption, surrogacy, parenting, and everything in between. At its core, full spectrum work is inclusive of all identities, family structures, and reproductive choices.
This approach is the foundation of how I show up as both a therapist and a doula.
