Perinatal Therapy + Full Spectrum Doula Care

Bethany LeBlanc, LCSW, PMH-C

Supporting reproductive mental health in New Orleans and across Louisiana

You deserve support that sees your full story.

Maybe you're up at 1 am Googling how to calm a crying newborn. Or researching which herbs are supposed to boost fertility. Or wondering if your ovaries are broken, if your progesterone is too low, if you’re having an early miscarriage. Maybe you’re trying to figure out why you feel so dreadful, when you wanted this pregnancy all along.

I might not have the answers, but we can find them together. However you got here, you deserve support that meets you where you’re at in your reproductive journey.

You might be in the right place if…

  • You’re navigating fertility, IVF, or donor conception

  • You just got a positive pregnancy test and aren’t sure what to do next

  • You’re postpartum, sleep deprived, and questioning your life choices

  • You’re carrying grief after miscarriage, abortion, or pregnancy loss

  • You want LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed care

  • You’ve had a difficult or traumatic birth experience

  • You don’t feel seen or safe in traditional healthcare spaces

Hi there, I’m Bethany.

I’m a perinatal therapist and full spectrum doula offering trauma-informed, inclusive, and unbiased care in New Orleans and across Louisiana. My work supports folks through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, fertility, loss, menstrual health challenges, and the complex relationship many of us have with our bodies and medical systems.

My practice centers people who have historically been left out of reproductive and mental health spaces- especially LGBTQIA+ folks, BIPOC communities, people with disabilities, and bodies of all shapes and sizes- so bring your whole self.

Why Full Spectrum?

While doulas of all kinds have existed for as long as humanity, the mainstream recognition of full spectrum doula support began in the mid-2000’s. Grassroots organizations like The Doula Project in New York expanded support beyond birth to include all pregnancy outcomes (including loss and abortion), while centering reproductive justice and bodily autonomy.

Today, full spectrum means inclusive care across the full range of reproductive experiences: fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, miscarriage, abortion, adoption, surrogacy, parenting, and everything in between.

This approach is the foundation of how I show up as both a therapist and a doula.
