You deserve support that sees your full story.
Maybe you're up at 1 am Googling how to calm a crying newborn. Or researching which herbs boost fertility. Or wondering if your ovaries are broken, if your progesterone is low, if you’re having an early miscarriage. Maybe you’re trying to figure out why you feel so dreadful, when you wanted this pregnancy all along.
I might not have the answers, but we can find them together. However you got here, you deserve nothing less than nonjudgmental support.
You might be in the right place if…
You just got a positive pregnancy test and aren’t sure what to do next
You’re postpartum, sleep deprived, and questioning everything
You’re carrying grief after miscarriage, abortion, or infertility
You’ve had a difficult or traumatic birth experience
You want LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed care
You don’t feel seen or safe in traditional healthcare spaces
Hi there, I’m Bethany.
I’m a perinatal therapist and full spectrum doula serving New Orleans and South Louisiana. I support folks through pregnancy, postpartum, fertility, loss, trauma, and transitions- all while recognizing the complex relationships we have with our bodies and medical systems.
My passion lies in working with people left out of traditional perinatal spaces: LGBTQIA+ families, BIPOC parents, people with disabilities, neurodivergent folks, and bodies of all shapes and sizes. My clients are the ones who don’t fit in to their local “mom” groups. The ones walking into rooms where no one looks or thinks like them. The ones asking why childcare still isn’t universal, why people are still debating breast versus bottle, and why Black women are still more likely to die from preventable complications during birth (even in 2026).
I created Full Spectrum Nola to hold space for all identities and reproductive experiences. All paths to parenthood, all pregnancy outcomes, all choices, and all bodies are welcome in this space.

Why Full Spectrum?
Doulas of all kinds have existed for as long as people have been giving birth, but the term full spectrum doula started to be recognized in the mid-2000’s. Grassroots organizations like The Doula Project in New York began offering support for all pregnancy outcomes (including loss and abortion), while centering reproductive justice and bodily autonomy.
Today, full spectrum means inclusive care across the full range of reproductive experiences: fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, miscarriage, abortion, adoption, surrogacy, parenting, and everything in between.
This approach is the foundation of how I show up as both a therapist and a doula.
