Therapy Across the Full Spectrum of Reproductive Health
Reproductive transitions don’t come with a survival guide- but they should! Whether you’re unexpectedly pregnant, trying to conceive, navigating menstrual or hormonal health challenges, processing an abortion experience, recovering from a difficult birth, or struggling with postpartum transitions, you deserve nothing less than nonjudgmental support. My work centers the real-life complexities of becoming (or not becoming, or trying to survive being) a parent, while also honoring the ways that reproductive and body experiences shape your life. My background as a full spectrum birthworker shows up in the therapy room- I provide the information you need to make empowered choices and advocate for yourself in medical spaces as a radical act of self-love.
I help people who are struggling with…
-
Pregnancy is supposed to be a time of excitement… right? For many folks, it’s filled with worries and uncertainty- and that reality can feel so isolating. If your pregnancy feels more overwhelming than joyful, you’re not doing it wrong- and you’re not alone. People start therapy during pregnancy for many reasons: navigating complications, wanting to maintain their mental health, anxiety about everything that could go wrong, or simply feeling unprepared for what’s next.
Pregnant people often share thoughts like:
I’m not enjoying this time like I thought I would- shouldn’t I be happy?
What if I give birth in the car? What if we lose the baby’s heartbeat? What if…
I’m worried I’ll relapse or have another mental health episode during this pregnancy.
I don’t feel prepared for this… At. All.
No matter how you’re feeling or what you’re facing, you deserve a space to prepare for the transition ahead. As both a therapist and doula, I offer pregnancy education, resource connection, and mental health support. Together, we can work on emotional preparation for birth, building your support system, creating an empowering birth (and postpartum!) plan, and learning advocacy skills so you feel more confident navigating decisions about your care.

The postpartum period can often be far more intense than people expect. Along with love for your child or relief that you’re no longer pregnant, there may also be intrusive thoughts, constant overwhelm, sleep deprivation, mood shifts, or a sense that you don’t recognize yourself anymore. For some families, this season also includes NICU stays, healing from cesarean birth, or lactation challenges that can add layers of stress and grief.
Both birthing and non-birthing parents sometimes share things like:
I’m not bonding with my baby- does this make me a terrible parent?
I’m failing at this- I’m just not cut out for parenthood.
I feel exhausted and hopeless, and it seems like this will never get easier.
No matter how postpartum looks for you, I offer a nonjudgmental space where all feelings, experiences, and choices are welcome. Drawing from evidence-based approaches like CBT, IPT, and solution-focused therapy, we’ll address unhelpful thought patterns, build your support system, and tap into your inner strengths to help you thrive as a new (or new again) parent.

Many people find that their birth experience sticks with them, showing up in memories, emotions, or a sense that something still feels unresolved. You don’t have to call your birth traumatic to want space to talk about it (though that’s certainly welcome here). People seek birth story processing and integration when their birth was fast-paced, overwhelming, or didn’t go as planned. And if your providers left you feeling unheard, pressured, or disrespected, you’re not alone- obstetric violence is real, and you deserved nothing less than compassionate, empowering care.
Clients often come to me saying things like:
I felt like my body wasn’t my own during birth.
I can’t stop replaying my birth in my head- what happened still doesn’t make sense.
I’m scared to give birth again because of how my last experience went.
I shouldn’t feel this way- my baby and I are both healthy.
These aren’t overreactions- they’re understandable responses to an intense and vulnerable experience. In therapy, we’ll move gently through your birth story at your pace, helping you process what happened, understand how it’s living in your body and nervous system, and integrate the experience in a way that honors your story without forcing a positive spin.

The path to parenthood isn’t always perfect. Loss can come in many forms: miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, failed adoption, termination for medical reasons, or unsuccessful fertility treatments. Even during a healthy pregnancy, grief is common- especially after a previous loss, while mourning a loved one, or during a major life transition.
People I work with often share things like:
I feel like my body has betrayed me.
I can’t handle another round of IVF- what if it ends in medical bills and heartbreak?
I feel judged grieving for such an early miscarriage.
I never imagined becoming first-time parent without my own mom here.
I offer an unbiased space to process all forms of reproductive loss, so you don’t have to navigate this alone. In therapy, we’ll work together to rebuild trust in your body and rewrite your reproductive story into an empowering, healing narrative.

Living with menstrual or cyclical health conditions can be physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting. Experiences like PMDD, endometriosis, PCOS, and chronic pelvic pain can impact every part of your daily life. And when your symptoms are constantly minimized or dismissed by healthcare providers, it can start to feel like your body is a problem that can’t be solved.
Many clients share thoughts like:
I feel like my entire life revolves around my cycle.
Everyone tells me my mood swings are “normal”- but I really feel like something’s off.
I’m tired of having to prove to others that my pain is real.
I teach clients how to chart their cycles and track their symptoms to better understand their bodies and advocate for themselves in a system that often fails to listen. We’ll work together to strengthen the mind-body connection, rebuild self-trust, and reclaim ownership of your health and body.
-
Queer and trans bodies navigate a world (and a healthcare system) that often overlooks and erases them. Whether you’re exploring your identity, starting HRT, coping with anxiety or depression, or navigating fertility treatments, you deserve to feel like more than just an afterthought.
Clients often share thoughts like:
I feel like my body doesn’t fit into any of the categories that people expect.
I didn’t expect the fertility treatments to bring up so much grief.
People just don’t understand the trauma of queer loss.
I just want a therapist who gets it- without me having to educate them.
In therapy, we focus on embodied healing, helping you reconnect with your body and listen to its signals. Using somatic and narrative approaches, I support clients in reclaiming bodily autonomy, exploring identity, and strengthening the mind-body connection- so you can move through life with pride.
Our Work Together
The Vibe:
My style is warm, conversational, and naturally curious, so therapy with me feels approachable and comfortable. I enjoy bringing humor, honesty, and (occasional) spicy feminist rants into sessions- sometimes showing up barefoot or with an iced latte, no matter the season. Many clients tell me they love attending our sessions surrounded by plants while sipping a warm cup of lavender-chamomile tea. I also like to support growth between sessions by offering journaling prompts, book recommendations, or reflective practices- so that what you learn leaves with you.
The Nitty-Gritty Clinical Stuff:
As an eclectic therapist, I’m not married to any single modality. I blend approaches from CBT, IPT, solution-focused therapy, strengths-based therapy, narrative work, and somatic/bottom-up practices to meet each client’s unique needs. I strive to balance cognitive (thinking) and body-based work, integrating nervous system regulation and body awareness into talk therapy sessions. I firmly believe that people don’t exist in a vacuum- so I help folks make changes within their reach while acknowledging the intersectional barriers that shape their lives.
What to Expect:
Our first session will be 60 minutes, ensuring extra time to build a plan for our work together. We’ll decide how often to meet, set goals, and determine if any other supports are needed. After that, all follow-up sessions are 50 minutes.

Location
My physical office is located in the Lower Garden District (near Coliseum Square Park) in New Orleans. Street parking is readily available. The office is less than a 10 minute walk from the St. Charles streetcar line, as well as the Magazine (11), W2, & W3 bus routes.
Babies are always welcome in session, and water and tea are always available. Please note, my office is upstairs and (sadly) not wheelchair or stroller accessible.
I also offer Telehealth sessions across the state. Due to licensing laws, clients must be physically located in Louisiana at the time of their session.
FAQ’s

My approach is strengths-based and solution-focused- meaning we’ll work together on practical steps to help you feel better faster. We’ll create a plan that can include support groups, medication, education, movement, sunlight exposure, sleep strategies, traditional healing practices, and more. I incorporate aspects of CBT, Interpersonal therapy, and Polyvagal theory to help clients reframe their thinking, regulate their nervous systems, and work through any negative beliefs they hold.
-
Absolutely! You deserve support, regardless of your biological role in welcoming your baby. Dads, non-gestational moms, trans women, and adoptive parents can all experience postpartum mental health challenges.
-
Yes! The examples on this page aren’t exhaustive… if you see yourself reflected in any of the experiences or identities described above, even if your specific situation isn’t named, there’s a good chance you belong here. I welcome clients with complex, overlapping, and hard-to-name experiences, and I’m happy to explore together whether my practice is a good fit for you.

For perinatal clients: in general, most folks attend weekly or every-other-week sessions throughout pregnancy and “the fourth trimester” (12 weeks postpartum). We’ll start by focusing on symptom relief, then reassess to see if deeper or longer-term work would be helpful.
Clients who come to me for reproductive loss, infertility, sexual trauma, menstrual disorders, or other concerns often need extra time to process and heal- usually remaining in therapy for several weeks to months. We’ll reassess throughout, checking in often and adjusting as needed.
-
Not every therapist is the right fit for every client, and that’s okay! I like to consider our first 2-3 sessions as a “trial period” to determine if we’re a good match. After this time frame, I’ll check in to see if you feel comfortable moving forward. If not, I’m happy to connect you with trusted colleagues- no feelings hurt.
-
I’m available Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday afternoons and evenings, as well as most of the day Friday.
-
You deserve a whole team of people supporting you- not one person trying to do it all. I can either be your doula or your therapist. If you’re interested in both forms of support, I’m happy to take on one role and connect you with trusted, vetted professionals for the other- let’s build your dream team!
