Birth Doula Support.
As a birth doula, my role is to provide physical, emotional, educational, and advocacy support before, during, and after birth. You’ll receive the unbiased, evidence-based information you need to make informed decisions, as well as mental health check-ins and referrals to trusted community resources. Services are personalized based on clients’ needs, but you can generally expect the following:

I offer three prenatal sessions, 60 minutes each, in-person or virtual. We’ll create a birth & postpartum plan, build your support system, practice different comfort measures, process any big emotions, and discuss informed consent and advocacy skills so you feel prepared to navigate decisions about your care. Additional sessions can be included for $75 each.

Starting at 38 weeks, I am on-call and available 24/7 to help you determine when labor has begun. When you are in active labor and ready for in-person support, I will join you at your birthing location to facilitate comfort measures, advocate for your birth preferences, and be present for the birth of your baby. After birth, I will stay with you for one hour to help establish breast/chestfeeding, if desired.

We will have two postpartum visits to help you transition into life with your baby. The first is a 30-minute virtual check-in within 72 hours of returning home, giving you space to share how you’re settling in. The second is a 60-minute in-home visit within the first 4 weeks to process your birth experience and address any concerns about infant feeding, postpartum healing, or newborn care. We can also discuss referrals to lactation support, pelvic floor therapy, mental health, support groups, and other resources if needed.

Throughout your journey, I’ll provide comprehensive (and beautifully illustrated) educational materials and worksheets from The Educated Birth. You are also welcome to borrow from my (always expanding!) library of birth, postpartum, and lactation books.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due at the time of signing to reserve your spot. Remaining balance is due by 38 weeks; payment plans available.

No! Doulas and midwives both play important roles in supporting birth, but they have different scopes of practice.
A midwife is a clinical healthcare provider who delivers babies. They are trained to monitor your (and baby’s) health, offer clinical assessments, perform exams, and refer to higher levels of care for complex or high-risk births.
A doula does not provide clinical care or deliver babies. Instead, doulas offer continuous emotional support, comfort measures, education, advocacy support, and help you navigate decisions and systems.
Many families choose to work with both a doula + midwife for out-of-hospital birth (or a doula + OB-Gyn for hospital birth), because they provide different yet complementary types of support.

Yes. I support families everywhere birth happens: in hospitals, birth centers, or at home with a licensed midwife. My goal is to help you feel informed, prepared, and supported wherever you choose to give birth.

Yes, absolutely! Doula support is not about achieving a specific type of birth. My role is to support your choices, help you understand your options, and make sure you feel respected and informed. I’m here whether you plan to have an epidural, use natural comfort measures, schedule a cesarean, or something else.

At this time, I don’t accept insurance for doula services. If cost feels like a barrier, please reach out- I’m happy to discuss sliding scale options or connect you with trusted community resources that can help.

You deserve a whole team of people supporting you- not one person trying to do it all. I can either be your doula or your therapist. If you’re interested in both forms of support, I’m happy to take on one role and connect you with trusted, vetted professionals for the other- let’s build your dream team!

Many people begin looking for a doula during the second trimester, but there is no “perfect” time. Some clients reach out earlier for fertility or early pregnancy support, while others connect later for help creating a birth plan.
If you’re considering doula support, it’s worth reaching out early so you can interview a few doulas and choose the best fit for you.

Because birth can be unpredictable, I limit the number of clients I support so I can be fully present for each one. I typically take on just one client per month- for example, one due in January, one due in February, and so on. This helps me balance the demands of being on-call while making sure I’m available and rested for your birth.

When you’re ready to move forward, I’ll send you my doula contract and invoice for the deposit. After it’s paid, you’ll officially be an active client!
