Welcome!
I’m Bethany, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, full spectrum doula, and advocate for better birthing experiences. Since 2018, I’ve supported women and children in healing from trauma and navigating life’s transitions. My recent training with Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings and Mary’s Hands Network has deepened my ability to walk with people through a wide range of reproductive experiences. I’ve also completed specialized training through Postpartum Support International to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health disorders during the perinatal period.
As a South Louisiana native and New Orleans local, I’m committed to centering queer, trans, BIPOC, disabled, and solo birthing people — as well as those who have faced fertility challenges, loss, or trauma on the path to parenthood. Grounded in a reproductive justice framework, my work is guided by the belief that everyone deserves respectful, compassionate, and culturally attuned care. I approach birthwork with heart, integrity, and a vision for change — through community-building, advocacy, and policy.
I Value…
Autonomy.
Human rights don’t disappear during pregnancy. You are always the expert on your own mind and body, and only you can make the choices that are best. I’m simply here to help you tune in to your inner voice and honor your intuition.
Informed consent.
Consent is central to every part of my work. I strive to be as transparent as possible, so you’ll always know what to expect when signing intake forms, starting a therapy session, or making decisions about your reproductive care. I’ll make sure you have the information you need to make informed and empowered choices.
Community.
New parents, grieving families, and folks breaking generational cycles can’t thrive without the support of a village. We all have a role to play in caring for one another as we work towards collective liberation.
My Approach is…
Trauma-informed.
Our experiences shape who we are and what we need. No matter what you’ve been through, good or bad, you deserve nothing less than care that treats you as a whole person.
Inclusive.
At its core, full-spectrum work is inclusive of all identities, family structures, and paths to reproduction. Solo parent? Pregnant dad? IVF warrior? Donor-conceived pregnancy? You are welcome here.
Unbiased.
Epidural or water birth, human milk or formula, home or hospital... there’s no one right way to birth, because you are the expert on your own self. I can offer evidence-based information to help you make informed decisions that feel true to *you*.
