BECAUSE THE FOURTH TRIMESTER matters, too.
The first 12 weeks postpartum, or “fourth trimester,” is a time of incredible transformation- not just physically, but also for your mental health, relationships, and identity. While much of the focus after birth is on caring for your baby, parents deserve support, too! My approach to postpartum doula care combines practical guidance, emotional support, and evidence-informed education.
As a perinatal therapist and doula, I know that when parents' basic needs are met, they're better able to care for themselves, their babies, and each other. That's why my postpartum care is built on three simple pillars: rest, nourishment, and connection.
three postpartum pillars:
Rest
Rest isn’t a luxury- it’s necessary for your physical and mental wellbeing. Together, we’ll create opportunities for rest- whether that means caring for your baby while you nap, building sustainable sleep routines, or exploring safe sleep options for your family.
01
Nourishment
Nourishment goes beyond food. It’s also the things that make us feel whole- and that can look different for everyone. We'll focus on incorporating foods, herbs, and healing practices that help you feel nourished and cared for during this season of life.
02
Connection
Parents were never meant to do this alone. Postpartum healing happens in community. Together, we'll strengthen your connection to yourself, your baby, and your support system- helping you build the village you deserve.

PACKAGES & Pricing:
Every family experiences the fourth trimester differently, so packages are designed to offer flexible support during your first 12 weeks postpartum. Visits are 3 hours each and scheduled around your family’s needs. Additional visits may be available for $40/hour (3-hour minimum), depending on my availability.
Families booking during pregnancy will begin with a required 90-minute Postpartum Planning Session ($150), which reserves your place on my calendar and helps us create a personalized plan for our work together.
-
One session, 90 minutes, virtual or in-office.
This personalized planning session helps you prepare for the fourth trimester with intention and confidence. Together, we’ll create a postpartum plan that considers your goals, support system, infant feeding plans, sleep expectations, mental health, and the practical realities of life after birth.
This session can be booked as a stand-alone service or is the first step for families who choose to purchase a postpartum doula package.
-
9 hours of in-home postpartum support, split across 3 visits (3 hours each).
A gentle introduction to postpartum support during the early weeks after birth. We’ll focus on newborn care education, postpartum recovery, infant feeding support, emotional adjustment, and helping you feel more confident as you settle into life with your baby.
-
18 hours of in-home postpartum support, split across 6 visits (3 hours each).
Ongoing support to help your family adjust during the fourth trimester. We’ll focus on newborn care education, postpartum healing, infant feeding support, emotional adjustment, and creating sustainable routines that work for your family.
BIRTH EQUITY fund:
Everyone deserves compassionate postpartum support. Each year, I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee postpartum doula packages for families who face financial or systemic barriers to accessing care. This may include queer, trans, BIPOC, young, solo, or disabled parents, and others who have been pushed out by the medical industrial complex.
This tier can cover up to 50% of the standard package rate, depending on available funding. If you're wondering whether you qualify, I encourage you to reach out. My goal is to make compassionate, affirming postpartum support as accessible as possible, and I'm always happy to have a conversation about your family's needs.
FAQs
COMMON QUESTIONS
-
No. Postpartum doula care is not psychotherapy or medical care. While I bring experience as a perinatal therapist, our visits focus on education, encouragement, practical support, and helping you adjust to life with your baby. If concerns arise that would benefit from therapy or medical care, I'll help connect you with the trusted resources.
-
I provide postpartum care to families living in Orleans and Jefferson Parishes. If you live outside this service area, I’m happy to connect you to resources near you.
-
I provide postpartum doula care during the first 12 weeks after birth, often called the fourth trimester. If you find that you need additional support beyond this time, I'm happy to help you transition by connecting you with therapists, lactation consultants, parenting groups, childcare resources, or other professionals who fit your family's needs.
-
Because birth can be unpredictable, I limit the number of clients I support so I can be fully present for each one. I typically take on just one client per month- for example, one due in January, one due in February, and so on.
For the most up-to-date availability, check my social media or reach out directly.

Fill out the contact form, and I'll reach out within 48 hours to schedule your free 15-minute consultation (virtual or in person). Partners and support people are welcome to join!
If you decide to move forward, we’ll schedule your postpartum planning session and complete your intake paperwork. From there, we’ll create a personalized plan for your fourth trimester and reserve your postpartum support dates on my calendar.
